On Sunday, just five miles from the finish line of the Chicago Marathon, runner Sarah Bohan encountered an unexpected sight: a kitten hiding along the marathon route. Without hesitation, she decided to help, scooping up the helpless kitten.

Bohan then teamed up with fellow runner Gia Nigro, and they successfully found a new owner for the kitten right then and there. The act of kindness was especially fitting for Bohan, who was running to support TEAM PAWS Chicago, a non-profit dedicated to building "no kill" shelters and ending overpopulation of homeless animals.

Despite all the added excitement, Bohan still managed to make an impressive showing in the race, completing her first Chicago Marathon with an impressive 3:31:35 time. She even went the extra mile, offering encouragement to other runners struggling to make it to the finish line.
