I’ll be back…right after my lunch break. A robot, equipped with arms, legs, and eyes, is working alongside actual humans at a warehouse in Austin, Texas. The humanoid is named Apollo and comes in and 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds. Its job is to move heavy items that weigh up to 55 pounds, according to the tech company Apptronik.

The startup says the robot is designed to perform menial tasks and will even do house chores at some point in the future like Rosie from “The Jetsons”. As of now, the tin man can go only four hours on one charge. After beta testing these guys through the rest of this year, they plan to “move into full production, by the end of 2024,” according to Apptronik.
