Kevin Bonecutter, of Cincinnati, Ohio, is on a quest to complete 143 acts of kindness. Since beginning his mission in early june, word’s gotten out and he’s been getting lots of help from others across the region. "Whether it be thirty dozen cupcakes, or cases of water and chips,” Bonecutter says, “And Spring Grove Cemetery is giving me a flatbed of flowers to plant throughout the West Side.”
Bonecutter‘s acts of kindness have included mowing lawns at empty properties, picking up litter, and providing free food to those in need, and earlier this week, he was out at the Cheviot Municipal Pool for his 138th random act of kindness. He partnered with another local family on a carnival-style booth where kids could spin a wheel and win prizes like pool toys and candy. “We had a long line for two straight hours of the event and I believe everyone went away happy. I had a blast myself!!,” he shares on social media.
The primary goal of Bonecutter's kindness mission is to combat negativity with positivity. He hopes that people will follow his example and pay it forward in their daily lives and that what he’s started will keep going after he reaches his goal. “Kindness is endless, it's limitless, it can go beyond any limits,” he says, “Once you start it, people want to be a part of that. That energizes me and makes me — once I hit that 143 — just want to keep on going."
