Teenage TikTok star Cole Caetano is known for finding and promoting content creators who have practically no followers and helping to skyrocket them to fame. A few days ago, the 17-year-old discovered an obscure YouTube channel titled "Grandpa Reads the Comics," with only a couple hundred subscribers and a handful of views per video. Caetano loved the wholesome grandpa vibe and decided to do his thing, making a TikTok promoting the channel.
Like usual, the TikToker’s post took off, racking up over 16-million views and leading to a huge boost in Grandpa's subscribers. Within just a few days, Grandpa's channel gained over 480-thousand new subscribers.
In a followup video, the Grandpa offers a “heartfelt thank you” to Caetano. “The kind comments I’m getting from all over the world,” he says, “It’s truly humbling, the kindness that has been shown.” When asked about his knack for boosting unknown creators, Caetano says he enjoys doing what he does, adding, "There's honestly no better feeling than helping someone else out."
