A car dealership in Dallas, Texas, has rewarded high school sophomore Johanna Castillo with a car for her perfect school attendance. Castillo, a student at Faith Family Academy of Oak Cliff, won a 2016 Jeep Patriot through a partnership between the school and local car dealer, Drive Casa. CEO of the dealership, Mark Gallas, says the competition has had a positive effect on attendance at the school.

Castillo was one of five students in the running, and despite not yet having a license, she's committed to getting one soon. She describes her surprise the moment she realized she’d won: "When I heard the beep... I was like [gasp]." Gallas praised the school's commitment to its students, and urged the students to appreciate the effort the school faculty puts into their education.

The school celebrated Castillo's win on social media, commending her and all students for making school attendance a priority and thanking Drive Casa for partnering in the students’ success. "We hope this car makes a difference in the lives of Johanna and her family!" the post concludes.
