Ukrainian Woman In The US Raises $1M For Ukraine

An Idaho woman raises more than $1-million for supplies for Ukrainians. Svitlana Miller of Idaho Falls was born and grew up in Kyiv. As she watched the Russian invasion of Ukraine unfold on the TV, she felt she had to do something to help. Miller and her husband started raising money to buy drones that cost $2-thousand each and within days they’d raised over $70-thousand.

With donations pouring in, Miller started a nonprofit, To Ukraine With Love to help Ukrainian people with humanitarian aid and to supply Ukrainians fighting in the trenches with vital necessities. The organization has now raised over $1-million in cash and donations of much-needed supplies. Among the items they’ve been able to provide are bulletproof vests, military-grade first aid kits, medical supplies, blankets, and food.

Now the goal of Miller’s organization is to continue to raise money to buy goods in Europe for the Ukrainian people. "We just need to help the people in Ukraine hold their ground a little longer,” she says. “If they can do that, they can survive just a little longer, they can outlast the enemy and they can win this war."
