A pair of good Samaritans spend Easter giving out hot meals to those in need. On Easter Sunday, Steven Exavier and his cousin Bronson Charles were set up outside a homeless shelter in Downtown Fresno giving out hot meals and water bottles to anyone who needed them.
Exavier and Charles doled out more than 20 hot meals of baked chicken, rice, and bread that day. The food was cooked in the Caribbean style that Exavier specializes in as the chef and owner of his Caribbean soul food business in Fresno, where he frequently donates the leftover food at the end of each night to people in need.
The two men are first generation immigrants who grew up in a household where they didn’t have a lot. But they were loved and now they try to share that love by helping those who are less fortunate. “It’s a blessing to be able to bless somebody else," says Charles. The men have more plans to continue and expand their acts of kindness.
