One NBA star sees his fame as a way to help give back. Phoenix Suns player Bismack Biyombo is donating his NBA salary to honor his late father and help their home country. The money is going toward building a hospital in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The facility will be named after Bismack’s dad, who died last year. The basketball star says “The idea is to give them better conditions so that they can somewhat have hope that their loved ones could potentially be able to leave and see another day."
