WWII Vet Becomes One-Millionth FL Senior To Get COVID Vaccine

Florida hit a landmark in the coronavirus vaccination process when a World War II veteran became the state’s one-millionth senior citizen to get the shot. Nearly two-thirds of Florida’s vaccines have gone to seniors so far and Henry Sayler was lucky number one-million.

To make the occasion even more special, Sayler got the shot on live television on “Fox & Friends” and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was there looking on. “He’s an American hero,” he said of Sayler, adding that the vet is in good shape for someone his age.

“I didn't feel a thing,” Sayler said after receiving the vaccination. “I just want to say how happy we are to live in the No. 1 state in the union and have the No. 1 governor in the union.”
