As the weather warms up, the Mansfield Police Department would like to remind all drivers to stay alert and share the road with motorcyclists. Each year, we see an increase in motorcycle traffic during the spring and summer months, which can lead to an increased risk of accidents if proper precautions are not taken.

Motorcycles can be difficult to see due to their smaller size and are often hidden in a vehicle’s blind spot. We ask all drivers to double-check their mirrors, use turn signals, and maintain safe following distances. Likewise, motorcyclists are encouraged to wear bright, reflective gear and ride responsibly.

With the upcoming motorcycle event occurring at The Ohio State Reformatory this weekend, we want to ensure a safe roadway for everyone. By staying vigilant and practicing patience, together we can reduce preventable accidents and save lives.

Please drive safely and help us protect all those who share our roads.
