Ashland County Highway Patrol Investigating Serious Injury Crash on US 30

Mohican Township - The Ohio State Highway Patrol was advised of an injury crash on US30 near Township Road 405 at approximately 7:34 PM on Sunday, May 4th.

A 2019 Freightliner truck and trailer was traveling eastbound on US30 and traveled off of the north side of the eastbound travel lanes. The commercial truck and trailer struck the center median, rolled over, struck a culvert, struck roadway signs, and came to a final rest within the westbound travel lanes of US30 and the center median.

The driver was identified as 61-year-old Dwayne Glazier of Keller, Texas. Glazier was extricated from the truck and transported by Jeromesville Fire Department to UH Ashland Samaritan Hospital. He was later transported to Ohio Health Medical Center in Mansfield, Ohio with serious injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on-scene by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Jeromesville Fire Department, Hayesville Fire Department, Ashland County Emergency Management Agency, The Ohio Department of Transportation, Aber’s Towing & Crane Service of Ashland, Ohio, and Hook-N-Haul Recovery Repair Towing & Transport of Litchfield, Ohio. US30 westbound travel lanes between State Route 89 and Township Road 405 were closed for approximately 4 and a half hours. The crash remains under investigation.
