Get ready to bend and snap because there's an update on the Legally Blonde prequel series, and Elle Woods herself, Reese Witherspoon, is here to spill the tea.

In a new interview with Access Hollywood at the premiere of You’re Cordially Invited, which also stars Will Ferrell, Reese shared that they have been hard at work to find their Elle Woods. She said, "We have been combing through so many videos, and it's amazing how many incredibly talented young women there are." Witherspoon added, "But, I'm just excited that all that messaging, all that positivity is going to be around for the next iteration, so all the people who were raised with Elle Woods are going to get to watch it and I'm really excited."

The Legally Blonde prequel, which is set to air on Amazon Prime Video, is executive-produced by Witherspoon, along with Lauren Neustadter via Hello Sunshine, and Lauren Kisilevsky and Marc Platt. The series will follow a young Elle Woods — pre-Harvard and pre-Warner Huntington III — and focus on her high school years to showcase "the life experiences that shaped her into the iconic young woman we came to know and love in the first Legally Blonde film," per the official logline according to Variety.

If you're a Legally Blonde fan, then you already know Elle Woods grew up in Bel Air in Los Angeles, California, across the street from Aaron Spelling! But, sounds like fans will get to know Elle on a deeper level in the upcoming prequel.
