Lexington beats Ashland for 5th win in a row, 3 way tie now for 1st in OCC

The Lexington Minutemen won their 5th in a row on Friday, 71-54, at home over OCC rival Ashland.

The Arrows went up 5-0 early in the 1st quarter, before the Minutemen went on a 14-0 run to take control.

Lex led by 6 after one quarter and by the same margin at halftime (33-27). The Minutemen used a 22-9 advantage in the 3rd to pull away for the 17 point victory, which puts Lex into a tie atop the league standings (5-1) with Mansfield Senior and Wooster, who each have one league loss.

Lexington was led by Seven Allen with a team high 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Jakob Legron connected on 4 three's for 12 points, Gavin Husty chipped in 11 and Joe Caudill added 10.

Ashland was led by Paxon Ediger, who had a game high 26 points.
