When the entire Scarborough, Maine, police force showed up to Miles Roman’s 4th birthday party, it wasn’t a reason to be worried. Afterall, they were the guests of honor since the birthday boy had dropped off an invitation at the police station inviting them to the celebration.

Little did Miles know, but the plan for the officers to come to his party had been hatched long before he delivered the invitation. Miles’ mom, Alyssa Roman, had been talking to the police about an officer visiting Miles on his birthday since he’d had a positive interaction with local cops at a National Night Out event last year.

In addition to the officers who showed up on Miles’ birthday this past weekend, police K9 Tucker and members of the town's fire department also joined in on the party. Knowing what a fan of the cartoon “PAW Patrol” that Miles is, Sergeant Andrew Flynn gifted Myles a "big PAW Patrol toy," making the day even more memorable. "I can't even articulate how great their whole department is," says Alyssa, and then she adds, “I’m so glad that we live in such a great place.”
