Max has a new animated show that will teach kids the important lesson to not get Gremlins wet."Gremlins: Secrets Of The Mogwai" released its first trailer, and it teases a bigger backstory for the little furballs.
The “Gremlins” prequel show takes place in the 1920s in Shanghai, and features a young Gizmo and follows the Wing family as they embark on a dangerous journey through the Chinese countryside. During their travels they will battle “colorful monsters and spirits” from Chinese folklore, all while being “pursued by an evil army of Gremlins.”
The animated kids show has a big cast including Ming-Na Wen, James Hong, BD Wong, Matthew Rhys, Izaac Wang, Gabrielle Nevaeh Green, Sandra Oh, Randall Park, George Takei, and Bowen Yang. Plus, Zach Galligan, who played Billy in the original movies, will make a guest appearance. The show premieres this May on Max.
