Secret Santa Surprises Wheelchair-Bound Father Of Six With New Car

The Secret Santa of East Idaho is at it again. This time the anonymous philanthropist is donating a new car to a wheelchair bound father of six. Dallas Christensen, from Rigby, Idaho, was in a horrible welding accident earlier this year which caused major damage to his leg. Christensen, who works as a lineman, has had to undergo multiple surgeries and has experienced complications that have prevented him from returning to work. His wife, Becci has had to take on two jobs to support the family while Dallas recuperates.

Medical appointments for Dallas require the couple to frequently travel hundreds of miles to Utah. They’ve been using an old mini van, but they never know if they’re going to make it and recently found out the van would need repairs that would cost more than it’s worth. So when the Secret Santa’s helper Nate Eaton with East Idaho News showed up on the Christensen’s doorstep, the family was surprised and thankful.

Eaton delivered $2-thousand worth of gas cards, a check for $1-thousand, and also gave the Christensens keys to a new Hyundai Tucson. The Secret Santa even picked up all the taxes and fees for the new ride. The Christensens are beyond thankful for the gift. “I have been unable to heal because of worry and fear that debt and pain would be my only future,” Dallas shares. “Today was the first time in a long time that I knew I’m going to make it. My children and grandchildren will remember this act of kindness forever. Now I can concentrate on healing.”
