A Texas man gave his car away to a stranger in need after learning about her situation. Leo DeLeija met Paulina Garcia on Facebook Marketplace and was going to sell her his 2002 Ford Focus for $650. But once he heard about what she’s going through, he offered it for free before even meeting her in person.
Garcia’s daughter passed away in February and she’s battling leukemia, and since she doesn’t have a car, she was struggling to get around. Sometimes she would have to walk to doctor’s appointments and to pick up her prescriptions, once she had to walk five miles to the hospital. DeLeija says something told him she needs this car and to bless her with it. She’s beyond grateful for the act of kindness and says this is the nicest car she’s had in her life.
“I hope one good deed inspires another and you know just for everybody to keep putting positive vibes out there and just do nice things for other people,” DeLeija says.
