A bell has been ringing non-stop at a Manhattan subway station for nearly two weeks, leaving locals perplexed and fed up. The loud, school bell-like has taken over the stairway to the downtown 1 train platform at the 50th Street subway station, though its exact source remains unknown. Despite no visible bell in the area, the noise fluctuates randomly in volume.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) was unaware of the issue and has not provided further information, leaving commuters and business owners going crazy over the mysterious noise.
