A California wedding venue is hosting free Valentine’s Day weddings for two lucky, loving couples. Over 40 years ago, Carolyn and Robin Hoffos, owners of Ramona, California, wedding and events venue, Lavender and Olive San Diego, got married on a shoestring budget. Their venue mostly caters to high-end weddings, but their own love story inspired them to start hosting what they call Petite Productions, small but elegant all-inclusive wedding ceremonies for $1-thousand.

To pay their love forward and to kick off their new program, Carolyn and Robin decided to give away five free weddings to loving couples who share their love story. Of the five lucky couples they selected for the giveaway, two plan to have their ceremonies on Valentine’s Day. One couple is Theresa and Dale Harrison, long-time teachers who were married in 1982 and plan to renew their vows at Lavender and Olive. The other couple is Courtney Keich and Meghan Rowe, who were dreaming of a non-traditional wedding and are now getting one.

Lavender and Olive isn’t skimping on the weddings either, each wedding package includes access to their five-acre property with scenic mountain views and an olive grove, a private ceremony with an officiant, two photographers, and a DJ, and a reception with champagne and food for a party of ten. "You have an entire wedding," says Carolyn, "They can stay for an hour, or they can stay all day." And then Robin adds, “They will remember it forever.”
