A California tween’s passionate renditions of Broadway showtunes earn his family a trip to NYC to see a Broadway show. Nathan Broxton of Orange County, California, loves musicals and his mom Samantha Broxton sometimes videos his impassioned renditions in the back seat of the family’s car. She started posting some of these videos to her social media, they’ve gotten the attention of a number of celebrities, and now Delta Airlines has offered to fly the 11-year-old and his family to New York City to take in a Broadway musical.

Among the notable celebs to respond to Nathan’s videos are author Kendra James, theater journalist Ayanna Prescod, and actress Bebe Neuwirth. Nathan’s take on the song “Wait for It” from “Hamilton” also caught the attention of Leslie Odom Jr, who tweeted this about Nathan, “Young brother is far more committed than I even dreamt of being at his age. This is conviction! And I love to see it. On this trajectory, he’ll eclipse me in no time. Ha 💪🏾”

It’s not clear when the Broxtons will travel to NYC or what show they might see, but the potential options are stacking up. Playwright Jeremy O. Harris tweeted that he’d get them tickets to any show they wanted to see and Brittney Johnson, who’s currently playing Glinda in Broadway’s Wicked tweeted, “Come see @WICKED_Musical! I’d love to meet you all xo 💕” But one thing pretty much everyone agrees on is that this kid is destined to be a star!
