A Georgia cop is being hailed a hero for saving the life of a baby who stopped breathing. Last week, the Gwinnett County Police Department posted on social media praising Corporal Linsey Meador for coming to the aid of a baby suffering a medical emergency.
Meador was off duty and at home with his family when his neighbor came desperately knocking on his door saying that her baby had stopped breathing and asking for help. Meador rushed to the neighbor’s home and started performing CPR on the baby while his wife called 911.
It was later determined that the baby had suffered a seizure causing it to stop breathing, but thanks to Corporal Meador’s quick actions, the baby is expected to make a full recovery. In recognition for his heroic response, the Gwinnett Chamber gave Meador a Lifesaving Award.
