An anonymous diner leaves more than $6-thousand as a tip for the employees at a Tennessee restaurant. Last week, a customer came into the Golden Corral in Knoxville and after eating, left a pretty hefty tip of $6-thousand-700 to be shared with all the restaurant’s employees.
The manager held an all-hands staff meeting and gave out envelopes to every one of the workers with $100 for each of them, including the managers. Bakery manager Johnny Smith says he plans on paying the kindness forward. “I’ll spend it on somebody else, you know, to make their Christmas better than it would’ve been,” he says.
And server Melnee Clayton was impressed with the customer’s generosity, saying, “That’s just so special that there are people out there that still appreciate you like that.” And then she adds, “Whoever you are out there, thank you, and we wish you many blessings.”
