Canadian Man Wins Second $700K Lottery Jackpot In 13 Months

A Canadian man wins $700-thousand in the lottery a little over a year after winning a jackpot of the same amount. Last summer, Antoine Beaini of Milton, Ontario, got lucky and won $1-million Canadian Dollars (over $730-thousand USD) from the Ontario Lottery’s Lotto Max game. He’d been playing the lotto for nearly 40 years, played the same exact numbers for over a year before his big win and his persistence finally paid off.

Beaini, a public servant, bought himself a new car and took his family on a vacation, but he didn’t stop playing the lottery. And then last month, only 13 months since he hit it big, he scored again, winning another $1-million Canadian! "I couldn't believe it. I thought 'Again?'" Beaini recalls. "It was more shocking than the first win. I told my wife, and she was very happy!"

This time, Beaini says the money is all about his family. "I want to make sure the next generation of my family is set up comfortably," he says. My guess is he’s not going to stop playing the lottery, though. So this might not be the last we hear of Antoine Beaini.
