A group of people picking up trash at Highland Bayou Park in La Marque, Texas found a bottle with a note inside. The note was written by Brian Standefer and his friends when they were around 10 years old…sometime around 1995. The note asked whoever found it to call one of two phone numbers, and leave a message if no one was home.
Both numbers were no longer in service, but the group was able to track Standefer down through Facebook. He said they had dropped the bottle about two miles from where it was found and says it’s special to him because one of the friends who signed the note passed away recently.
