Study Says To Eat Salmon Fillets For Lower Blood Pressure

Researchers from Macau University in Guangdong, China, looked at 70 studies that included over 5k participants and found that eating an ounce of omega-3 fatty acids per day will lower your blood pressure, especially if you have high blood pressure. You can get it through supplements, but the team recommends getting your daily dose with salmon filets.

A four-ounce salmon fillet gives you around an ounce of the fatty acid, which is enough to lower the blood pressure of most adults. The US Food and Drug Administration announced a few years ago that companies could claim food and supplement products with omega-3 fatty acids may reduce blood pressure and heart disease.
