A pair of MTA workers are being praised for helping to reunite a young son with his father after they were separated on the subway in New York City. Last week, a child was separated from his father as the doors to the subway closed at the 14th Street-Union Square station, and whisked the young boy away.
Train Operator Christopher Lopez and Conductor Arron Corrian noticed the child at 28th Street, two stops away from where he was separated from his father. They let passengers off the train and then Corrian stayed with the boy until police arrived.
A few minutes later, the child was reunited with his father. The MTA put out a statement praising the workers for acting quickly to get the child back to his parent. "Due to the keen observation and diligence of the crew, this story has a happy ending,” the statement read. “Thank you to Christopher and Arron for your care and attention during a tense situation."
