Maryland Farm Offers Cow Cuddling To Relieve Stress

A farm in Maryland is offering cow cuddling sessions to help reduce stress. Mary’s Land Farm is a working, sustainable, eco-conscious farm near Clarksville, Maryland that also offers informational and educational experiences. Recently, they’ve added a new experience to their lineup: cow cuddling.

For $120, a group of up to eight people can spend 45 minutes getting close to and playing with the Krispie Crew, a trio of months-old Jersey calves named SnapCrackle, and Pop. The farm’s website says they “love to run with you, jump around, and lay on your lap.” They also claim that cuddling with the calves can help reduce stress by boosting oxytocin, the love hormone.

Mary’s Land Farm started the program a few weeks ago and all the spots for May and June sold out almost immediately. They suggest keeping an eye on the farm’s Facebook page for updates on new dates if you are interested in doing some cow cuddling in rural Maryland anytime soon.
