An 8-year-old boy diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma in 2020 has lived his dream of being a nature photographer. Oban Birmingham loves nature and got into taking photos. Recently, the boy got hooked up with National Geographic photographer Carlton Ward thanks to Make-a-Wish South Florida.
They spent real one-on-one time taking photos at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in Southwest Florida. Ward even showed Oban tricks of the trade, including how to use trail cameras for shots of undisturbed wildlife.
And some great news for Oban… he’s in remission.
