Woman's Dog Detects Her Cancer And Saves Her Life

Tanya Hibberd credits her dog with helping diagnose her cancer. The British woman has been careful about getting regular breast cancer screenings, but after returning from a two week trip, her husky Sapphire got clingy.

The dog was overly attentive and constantly pawed at Tanya’s breast. When the pup didn’t stop, Hibberd went to the doctor and they indeed found a cancerous lump. It was the fast growing triple-negative and after 20 chemo treatments Tanya was declared cancer free.

Now she is stressing the need for pet owners to pay attention to their furry pals’ when they get more attentive than normal. She stresses “I would just say that if you have a dog or pet that generally only wants cuddles on their terms and then they start taking an actual interest in you then maybe they are trying to tell you something.”
