Four tigers living in a mobile cage for 15 years are now free to roam. In 2007, a traveling circus dropped off two tigers on farmer’s land and asked that he look after them for six months. The circus never came back, and since it’s illegal to have big cats, the farmer quietly took care of them in their cage. Then they mated and had two cubs.
So, four tigers lived in a space smaller than two parking spaces… until global animal welfare charity Four Paws has now collected the big cats to take them to a new home. After a long journey, the tigers are now at LIONSROCK Big Cat Sanctuary in South Africa where they can view the sky without bars in the way.
