Wisconsin Couple Wins $316.3 Million Powerball Jackpot

A northeastern Wisconsin couple hit the Powerball Jackpot, winning over $316-million. Tammy and Cliff Webster of Oneida, Wisconsin, and another player from California split the January 5th Powerball prize of $632.6-million. The jackpot was the seventh largest in Powerball history.

The Websters, who are members of the Oneida Nation, have chosen the cash option and will take home $153.9-million after state and federal taxes. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are roughly one in 292-million.

“We always believed that we had a chance to win if we played and this is a dream come true,” Tammy tells lottery officials. “We are sincerely grateful for this incredible event.”

  • The Citgo gas station where the Websters bought their winning ticket will also get $100-thousand.
