A pair of Philadelphia businesses team up to show their appreciation to local health care workers. This Tuesday, Steven Singer Jewelers and Slice Restaurant partnered to support frontline health care workers by delivering 250 heart-shaped pizzas to Pennsylvania Hospital in the Center City district. They wanted to show their support for the workers who’ve been battling COVID-19 and serving the community over the last couple years.
Officials from the hospital say the pizzas were well appreciated. "Our staff has worked incredibly hard during this period, and all of us have gone through a lot with the community," Pennsylvania Hospital’s chief medical officer Daniel Feinberg says. "And we’ve just gotten incredible support from our friends in the neighborhood."
In addition to the pizzas, as a sign of gratitude two unnamed local health care heroes also received special 24-carat gold dipped roses from Steven Singer Jewelers.
