College Students Adopted From Same Chinese Orphanage

A pair of Liberty University students sat next to each other on a bus in Lynchburg, Virginia, and started chatting to pass the time. After some small talk, sophomore Ally Cole realized she was sitting next to someone she used to live with, freshman Ruby Wierzbicki.

The young women’s conversation led them to the discovery that they’re originally from China and were both adopted from the same orphanage there. Ally and Ruby shared old photos with each other from the orphanage and realized they were both there at the same time and even found some pictures where they’re side by side. They also realized they were only adopted about a week apart.

Both of them say it took some time for them to wrap their heads around their discovery since neither of them knew much about their early childhood. Ally says, ‘I think I was just in shock that I actually knew someone from my past.” They say their new friendship is a blessing and that it was no accident they met at a college with 15-thousand students on campus. “There’s no way it wasn’t God that orchestrated this,” Ruby says.
