“Superhero” Pharmacist On A Mission To Vaccinate Community

Dr. Mayank Amin is a “superhero” pharmacist on a mission. His goal is to get everyone in his community of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, vaccinated by the end of May and he’s doing everything he can to make it happen.

The 36-year-old stepped in to open his own pharmacy when the local pharmacy closed and he saw locals concerned about getting their medications. When the pandemic hit, he worked from 9am until he “couldn’t stand anymore” to take care of customers. And his family made a huge sacrifice as well. His wife is pregnant with their first child and out of an abundance of caution, she’s been staying in New Jersey with her parents so he could continue to serve their community as an essential worker.

Once he made a home delivery for a child wearing a Superman costume and it was such a hit, he’s now donning the superhero suit when he’s out giving COVID vaccines. The locals love it and everything he’s doing to help keep them safe. Superman Dr. Amin has vaccinated thousands so far and his mission won’t be complete until everyone in his community has gotten theirs.
