A Texas teen was out walking her dog when she spotted a little boy who had fallen into an icy pond. Caitlyn Thomas, a high school senior, says she tried knocking on doors of nearby houses in the town of Jefferson, but nobody answered.
She even tried calling 911, but she had trouble describing her location to dispatchers. So Caitlyn called someone she could count on - her grandfather.
He arrived quickly with his pickup truck and rope and straps. He got down in the icy water himself and luckily, he was able to save the 11-year-old boy, pulling him in with help from several other men.
