TX Deputies Pay For Hotel Room For Family During Winter Storm

When snow and ice blanketed much of Texas last week, millions were left in the dark and had no heat. One family was trying to find warmth and shelter at a hotel during the deadly winter storm, but they couldn’t afford the room, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies with the sheriff’s office responded to a call at the hotel and found out about the family with small kids. In light of the weather situation, deputies went above and beyond to help. They dug into their own pockets and paid for the family to stay there for the night to make sure they were warm and safe.

The sheriff’s office shared the act of kindness in a Facebook post and many commenters are not only thanking the deputies, but also looking to pay it forward by reimbursing them.
