Staff at a Naples, Florida restaurant was treated to a huge tip just before being laid off from their jobs. Ross Edlund, owner of Skillets restaurant, says they’re trying to figure out who left a $10-thousand tip for employees the day before the state ordered restaurants to close their dining rooms because of coronavirus.
Edlund says the man who handed a manager a wad of cash is a regular customer, and he thinks his name might be Bill or Bob, but they’re not sure. The generous gratuity was split between each of the 20 staff members working that shift, so they each got $500. They might not know exactly who left the money, but they’d like to thank him for the tip.
