Ohio State Athletic Department Looking At Deficit Of More Than $100 Million

The Ohio State Athletic Department is looking at a deficit of more than $100 million due to the pandemic.

Head football coach Ryan Day and basketball coach Chris Holtman, according to the school, both are taking a voluntary 5% pay cut.

The School is not cutting any sports, but close to 50 members of the athletic training staff will be furloughed and 25 full time positions are expected to be cut.

OSU AD Gene Smith said the school is looking into possibly having the football team travel the day of the game and use a bus a shorter trips to save on expenses.

Ohio State football opens the year, Oct 24th at home vs Nebraska.
